Our People: Dave Elpers

A Chelsea employee since 1991, Dave has more than 25-years of sales experience in specialty AV retail, with an emphasis on high-end audio components. If you have the urge to call him “Mr. Elpers,” we understand – Dave started off as a teacher before switching into the world of high-end AV components. “I’ve always loved music and stereos. I got into the gear in the 80s after getting laid off from teaching.”

How did Dave end up at Chelsea? Well, for a SoCal native, he’s pretty smart. As an undergrad at Willamette University, he says he fell in love with Oregon and the Northwest while at the same time growing dissatisfied with “tall California blonds.”

“Actually, I was Shanghaied by Ford,” he says, adding that he is currently working off his indentured servitude. Whatever the case, we’re glad to have him.
