Our People: Ford Montgomery III

Ford the third (or is it Ford 3) has been with Chelsea officially for five years, though he’s been around the company his entire life. As part of the Chelsea sales force, Ford 3 works with clients in the store and in their homes, helping them choose a solution that makes sense from a cost, aesthetic and functional standpoint.

“Growing up, my father always had a great music setup – of course we weren’t allowed to use it. I was hooked from then on.”

Now Ford 3 actually gets paid to play with all the components and gear he wants, whether it’s during a product demo or just for the heck of it. “Being in sales is great because I get to work with the gear and people on a daily basis.”

If it wasn’t for the gear, where would his time go? “Sports,” he says. “I watch a lot of sports,” which, for the U of O grad, translates into lots of Ducks football and basketball.
