Our People: Justin Montgomery

Justin is another one of those darn Montgomery kids who “blames” his father for his love of all things musical. “Dad had Chelsea before we were born, so we grew up with the stuff surrounding us.” Ask Justin his current job title and he’s not exactly sure. “Network Audio Compositor,” he says, which essentially means anything and everything having to do with Chelsea’s more technically advanced components. “People have their music on computers and iPods now. I get their music to play wherever they want. You can say I take their music beyond the ear bud.” OK, we’ll say that.

Like any grownup kid, Justin readily admits that the best part of the job is playing with the toys. “We get to play with the components before anyone else does.” Smart, functional play, of course – Justin, like the rest of Chelsea’s techno-squad, figures the ins, outs and capabilities of every component that comes into Chelsea’s warehouse so they can provide customers with the right functionality and style they want. Plus he loves it.
